African Activists for Climate Justice

The African Activists for Climate Justice (AACJ) is a pan-African programme advancing climate justice through youth-led action, narrative change, community-driven solutions and inclusive policy engagement. It supports stronger connections between youth actors and decision-making processes, enabling young people across Africa to contribute to climate responses. The Youth Print serves as the national implementation partner for the African Youth Commission in Ethiopia, contributing to youth engagement and the implementation of context-responsive climate action.

Youth Adaptation Forum

The Youth Adaptation Forum (YAF) is a multi-stakeholder initiative implemented by The Youth Print for the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA), in collaboration with Addis Ababa University (AAU) and the Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD). Convened on the sidelines of the African Climate Summit (ACS-2), the Forum strengthened youth engagement in climate adaptation processes across Africa. The Forum provided a platform for dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration among young leaders and actors from government, academia, civil society, the private sector and international institutions. It connected local experiences with national and continental policy processes and created opportunities for young people to contribute to discussions on climate adaptation.

How we decide what to run.

Youth-authored
The question and the design come from young people in the place the work happens — not from a call for proposals.
Published goal
We state what success looks like before we start, in a sentence a fourteen-year-old could hold us to.
Copyable
Materials, method and cost are released openly, so a group with no budget can run the same thing.
Closable
Every project has a date on which we decide to continue, hand it over, or stop — and we say which, publicly.
